We watched the 2025 "Nuremberg" 🤔🇺🇲⚖️🎬 film last night. The strong and the weak, good and evil, victory and defeat. 🤖✍🏼 Worked up a dialogue on this very timeless topic today Pete.

Grace and peace to you, Nie Vergessen!

Peter, this is a WONDERFUL sermon! And if you examine the stories of all mankind, just as in the Bible, you see that the hero of the story is the one who overcomes foes by being righteous.

It’s John Wayne driving the bad guys out of town in a Western movie; it’s Gary Cooper refusing to bend to evil; it’s the heroes of most old movies because they are being HEROIC. That implies they are taking the righteous stand and the difficult path, not the easy path of taking advantage or of being lazy.

It applies to every personal relationship, too. A woman wants caring from a man - but he first has to be a man she respects, and that means he has to be righteous. She doesn’t care about abs of steel, or flashy cars. If she has any character at all, she can only love a man who has virtues! Likewise, a man may lust for a sexy woman, but he can only fall in love with a woman he respects - one who is virtuous. I think everyone knows this in their heart, and figures out this truth as they stumble through their lives.

As always, Peter, your writings are a pleasure. Thank you, and bless you!

Thanks for the high praise and kind words.

I'm not much of a theologian. A lot of what passes for theology just doesn't interest me. My focus is, engineer-like, on the practicalities of the here and now.

How do we live our lives well? How do we translate Scriptural guidance into practical action. How do we figure out what the right thing is and how to do it?

My hope is always that people who read my missives come away with some kernel of insight that helps them figure a thing or two out in their own lives.

Judging from your kind words I'm apparently succeeding! And that is very gratifying.
