We are called not merely to be God’s light to the world, but to share God’s light with the world. We are called to celebrate the efforts of others even as our own efforts are celebrated.
We, in the USA, are blessed (cursed) with rights that are foreign to other countries, even as we see these rights taken away. What will we say when God asks "What did you do with 'citizenship?"
I know you, Peter, will have a good answer, but what of the others?
"Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin." -- Deuteronomy 24:16.
A man can only answer for the things he has done and the things he has said.
Very true! When I’ve read history books, I’ve been struck by how great civilizations were filled with populations of individuals who each contributed, worked hard, collaborated, competed for excellence, and appreciated each other’s accomplishments. When I’ve read how England survived WW2, I’ve been amazed at how women would work a long shift building planes or ammunition, then come home to take shifts watching on their rooftops for German bomber attacks, all while the grandparents watched the children. Every single living person in England did his ALL to help his country survive! They knew that it was required for survival.
If we are to make America great again, this is what is required for us as well. Stop the divisive equity attacks, the victim mentality, the whining, the sloth, and get out their and contribute collaboratively! Acknowledge and appreciate all of the contributions that have preceded us, and that are being done by our fellow human beings today.
I’m hoping that many young people will notice that their divisive ‘us vs them’ mindset has not resulted in the society they wanted, and that they will come around to see that their educators steered them wrong. Peter, you can help with the wisdom you impart through your Substack and other writings. You’ve been doing a great job with it, and we thank you!
Very good, Peter. Will be linking as usual @https://nothingnewunderthesun2016.com/
